New polls showing that Hispanic voters have been abandoning the GOP and withholding their support for John McCain, despite his past support for comprehensive immigration reform.

Where was the link to Democratic Underground? There was a link to blogger Chris Bowers MyDD site which, while a self proclaimed Democratic leaning blog, is run by someone generally regarded as a mainstream political analyst.

Just a word of advice which you are obviously free to ignore ... you may not want to link to Democrat Underground, as it tends to showcase people calling for killings and such and for outing/denouncing people as race or sexual identity traitors, etc. I seem to recall one notorious incident some fellow tried to anonymously threated some other academic (who was a Republican or soemthing equally evil) by publishing his child's name, daycare, etc. Unless their posting policies and quality has changed in recent years, relying on them for accurate information is rather like relying on ILW.com commenter and Protocols of the Elders of Zion defender Mr. Roberts - it is often accurate, but grains of salt and a strong stomach are often in order.

Only reason McCain is tied with Obama in the polls among the general electorate when the economy is down in the toilet: Obama is black and there are significant pockets of racist whites in this country. Evan Bayh or Mark Warner would have won this thing running away!
