Whenver I brought up the issue of an economy closed to immigration, investment and trade and how in general it wont do well in the long run, the clowns at CIS, FAIR and Numbers USA always brought up Iceland. By now, all of you should have heard about what is happening to Iceland versus the open economy, Singapore. I rest my case! CIS, FAIR and Numbers USA's vision for America is Iceland with its bankrupt economy while I would rather take the overpopulated Singapore..at least the country is nowhere near bankruptcy!

Now is the time they start doing the jobs!

This is a good analysis takes into consideration important factors in the Immigration debate. But again it will all depend on who is the next president and how they sell Immigration to the public in a down economy. No doubt the antis will say that you do not need immigrants competing against Americans when we have a growing un-employment rate. Even though most of these un-employed Americans will not do the jobs that most of these immigrants do even if those jobs are available.
