ABC Television recently announced cancellation of Pushing Daisies, one of the most creative shows on network television. I regularly watch with my kids and we were really disappointed to hear the news that the plug was being pulled on this most enjoyable television series. I was happy to see that fans of the show have organized an online petition drive and are also trying to get other networks interested in picking up the show.
One of my favorite cast members on the show is British actress Anna Friel. Friel plays Charlotte "Chuck" Charles, one of the female leads on the show. She has been nominated for a Golden Globe for the role. Before Daisies, she acted in numerous movies as well as television series in both the US and Britain.
I too am a big fan of this incredibly amazing show! I wish ABC would reconsider or other networks would pick it. It's the only show that keeps me sane while I await my green card.
I really love your blog Greg! Especially now that I know we have the same taste!

I've lived the illegal immigration dilemma 24/7 for 5 years and ran for congress this past year. Later on today I will post this diary intro. in the Democratic blog the Daily Kos.
Let’s Get Proactive, NAFTA: Canada, United States, Mexico and Israel
Sporadic updates: #1 If you hadn’t blundered into my other diaries you wouldn’t know I sheltered two undocumented aliens for 5 years in my house. I beseech you to use the Kos search engine so that it’s not necessary to rehash old information. Do it for the sake of my several Kos critics (blunderbuss’s) who I’ve managed to waylay and who tell me my prose stinks. That’s unimportant to me, more about that later.
When we last left off, my friend; call him a surrogate son, and an all around great guy had been back in Mexico for one year. There’s a never ending supply of anecdotes I haven’t posted, and then there’s the story told in real time as I speak to him in Mexico week to week.
Today we’ll talk about his budding romance in Mexico, the job prospect in Canada, 900 miles north of that other border, where it’s 60 degrees below zero; and I’ll also fill in more details about our personal history. Then for controversies sake I’ll say perhaps the most stupid thing you’ve ever heard about the Israel-Palestinian conflict, because nothing generates feedback like that subject. Sound inviting
