BACKGROUND ON MEETING WITH MEMBERS OF CONGRESS TO DISCUSS IMMIGRATION REFORM:
The President and the Vice President will meet with a small group of Senate and House members from both sides of the aisle and both sides of the issue to discuss immigration reform in the State Dining Room at 2:00 PM today. The meeting is intended to launch a policy conversation by having an honest discussion about the issues and identifying areas of agreement and areas where we still have work to do, with the hope of beginning the debate in earnest later this year. There will be a pool spray at the bottom of the meeting.

Cornyn, Kyle have always voted for CIR, Sessions will never vote for CIR, even if election depended on it.

Heath Shuler leads the Blue Dog Democrats and last I heard he was against CIR, it will be interesting to see if they can turn him around with the rest of them. On the republican side the usual suspects are present I suspect that Cornyn, Kyle and Sessions will vote against and McCain, Graham and Martinez will be for it in the Senate.

What would Lamar Smith and Jeff Sessions say in the meeting?
Tell them this is not the judiciary committee hearing in either house before these two rant for the whole evening.
