Actually, I'm surprised visa free travel has been permitted, but that's about to end. The cause is apparently a substantial increase in refugee claims from our southern neighbor's nationals. For those who think we're moving to a so-called North American union, this is one more step in the other direction.

Given the climatic and cultural differences, I am less than shocked Canada had visa-free status with el Sud. The only Hispanic Canadian I am aware of besides a bunch of cardiologists who headed to the US along with all the other top tier specialists and researchers we knew in the 1970s is Chico on Candace Olsen's HGTV show.

Now will Mexico impose visas on Canada and the US?..then the step back will be half way complete

Some newspapers reporting on this story are saying that 15% of the immediate plan travel from Mexico to Canada has been canceled according to the Travel Industry in Mexico.
