Jack states the following:
"...San Antonio Governor Julian Castro...In other words, Kobach and Tancredo won the debate."

Jack, can you please enlighten the audiences by identifying the location of the State of San Antonio...
Besides that, what's the relevance of such debate? These public events don't affect or influence government decisions - need some evidence?

Please go back to school and get some decent education...you're indeed ridiculing yourself.

Before the debate, part of the Intelligence Squared U.S. series, the audience at New York University's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts voted 16 percent in favor of the motion and 54 percent against, with 30 percent undecided. After the debate, 35 percent supported the motion and 52 percent opposed it, making the side arguing for the motion the winners of the debate; 13 percent remained undecided.

In other words, Kobach and Tancredo won the debate.

"I would think that God were punishing us for something bad we did...."

At least in Louisiana it seems that way with police corruption, etc.

Paul states the following:
"By the way, what does any of this have to do with immigration law and policy anyway?!?"

Think in these terms: once things get under control and farmers start rebuilding the agricultural infrastructure, there is going to be a huge demand for CHEAP LABOR (also consider the increase in the price of commodities as a result of this disaster)...from this point, do your homework.

Watch this three and half hours documentary titled "The Money Masters: How International Bankers Gained Control of America" if you want to understand the essence of the current economic upheaval:

Wow, Frank! Indeed! Events are developing so fast! The farmland is lost! Eveything is getting flooded. One would think that God were punishing us for something bad we did....

By the way, what does any of this have to do with immigration law and policy anyway?!?

Events are developing so fast...

Farmers on the Mississippi see crops washed away
By MARY FOSTER and HOLBROOK MOHR Associated Press © 2011 The Associated Press
May 13, 2011, 3:04PM

NEW PROVIDENCE, La. — With crop prices soaring, farmers along the lower Mississippi River had been expecting a big year. Maybe even a huge one.

Now, many are facing ruin, with floodwaters swallowing up corn, cotton, rice and soybean fields.

And even more farmland will be drowned in the coming days if engineers throw open a spillway for the first time in 38 years, as they are expected to do, sometime over the weekend. Unlocking the spillway would inundate Louisiana Cajun country with as much as 25 feet of water but would ease the pressure on levees downstream, averting a potentially bigger disaster in New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

Trouble has already found the fields in far northeastern Louisiana, where Tap Parker and about 50 other farmers filled and stacked massive sandbags along an old levee to no avail. The Mississippi flowed over the top Thursday, and nearly 19 square miles of soybeans and corn, known in the industry as "green gold," was lost.

CNN is reporting that it was a computer error in the Visa Lotto and that they will do a new Lottery and results are expected to post by July 15.

The following video "The Day the Dollar Died" is dedicated to Jack and associates.

Even though it is a hypothetical scenario, most likely the events surrounding the collapse of the US Dollar will have many similarities with facts proposed in this clip.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2N8gJSMoOJc

Jack and his clan will be the firsts ones BEGGING for government action on immigration reform as soon as the Dollar loses its status as the world's reserve currency.

Lets' see what arguments he will use to blame undocumented immigrants for such unavoidable event.

"Only way to stop this is having a CIR whether thru Congress or an EO."

Well we already know that neither one of them will move....Status quo and New State Jim Crow era it is.....

"Things are getting more complicated since states are effectively passing their own legislation regarding immigration. What state is next?"

This is what we have discussed before in this blog. Once AZ passes their bill, other States will follow suit with their own version until the Federal gov't finally passes a comprehensive immigration reform bill.

It is finally happening. Only way to stop this is having a CIR whether thru Congress or an EO.

"I think CNN maybe reporting on the computer error regarding the Visa lottery"

Hopefully, it really was computer error and not because of intelligence they got from OBL's compound. I still think the 50,000 visas are best used somewhere but particularly to ease backlog in the EB visa system.

I think CNN maybe reporting on the computer error regarding the Visa lottery.

Maybe this will help a little......not psyc

Social Security, Medicare Face Worsening Picture Due To Economy

"Hopefully Frank is right at this point that seems like the only thing that can save the day."

Agree. It really seems the only option left there is. I hope Pres. Obama realizes that it helps him in his re-election bid as it seems he didn't get much of a bump they were hoping for from OBL's death.

Hi Alice - I became aware of the DV computer problem a week ago and suspected that something was amiss. I have a feeling there is more to the story than what has been told so far. While it is unfortunate that people are having notices revoked given the results breakdown that I saw, I don't think the State Department had a choice.

Ga. governor signs Arizona-style immigration bill into law

When provisions of Georgia's House Bill 87 will take effect:

July 1

Local and state police will be empowered to arrest illegal immigrants and take them to state and federal jails.
People who use fake identification to get a job in Georgia could face up to 15 years in prison and up to $250,000 in fines.
People who -- while committing another crime -- knowingly transport or harbor illegal immigrants or encourage them to come to Georgia could face penalties. First-time offenders would face imprisonment for up to 12 months and up to $1,000 in fines.
A seven-member Immigration Enforcement Review Board would be established to investigate complaints about local and state government officials not enforcing state immigration-related laws.
Government officials who violate state laws requiring cities, counties and state government agencies to use E-Verify could face fines of up to $10,000 and removal from office.
The state Agriculture Department will be directed to study the possibility of creating Georgia's own guest-worker program. Some Georgia employers have complained the federal government's guest-worker program is too burdensome and expensive.
Jan. 1

State and local government agencies must start requiring people applying for public benefits -- such as food stamps, housing assistance and business licenses -- to provide at least one “secure and verifiable” document, which could be a state or federally issued form of identification. Consular matriculation cards will not be accepted. The state attorney general’s office is required to post a list of acceptable documents on its website by Aug. 1.
Phased in:

Georgia businesses will be required to use the federal E-Verify program to determine whether their new hires are eligible to work legally in the United States. Businesses with 500 or more employees must start complying with this provision on Jan. 1. Businesses with 100 or more employees but fewer than 500 must start complying with this provision on July 1, 2012. This requirement applies to businesses with between 11 and 99 employees starting July 1, 2013. Businesses with 10 or fewer employees are exempt.

Lets' see what arguments Jack, the Vulgar Many, will use to blame undocumented immigrants for such picture...

Jack, you have an additional homework: besides watching "The Money Masters," there is a new documentary titled "College Conspiracy" that will be aired this coming Sunday, May 15th 2011...

‘College Conspiracy’ the Documentary Coming on May 15th
The National Inflation Association (NIA) is getting ready to release its latest feature documentary ‘College Conspiracy’. NIA intends to release the movie 5 days from now on Sunday, May 15th. ‘College Conspiracy’ will be the most comprehensive documentary ever produced that exposes the facts and truth about U.S. college education, which NIA considers to be the largest scam in American history.

Despite college tuition inflation being the most consistent form of price inflation over the past decade, 70.1% of high school graduates are currently enrolling into college, a new record. The value of a college degree is declining even faster than tuitions are skyrocketing in price, but students are being brainwashed by the college-industrial complex, which is working in cahoots with the mainstream media and U.S. government to turn students into indentured servants for life.

Governor to sign Arizona-style immigration bill into law = wasted time, money and resources

This bill was simply designed to keep distracted and entertained the brute and ignorant masses from REAL issues, specifically the ones related to the economy...several prestigious economists are already estimating that in a near future US economic outlook may share many similarities with the hyperinflation during the Weimar Republic (Germany, 1921-1923).

Steve Case and Michael Bloomberg are helping Obama on the reform for the legal Immigrants but it all seems like a pipe dream....nobody gets help with this politicians. Hopefully Frank is right at this point that seems like the only thing that can save the day.

So guys, I guess the push for immigration reform is over. By push I mean the lip service and soccer game - with immigration reform being the ball that is kicked from one side to another; sometimes only by one side alone!!! Nice game! will wait for 3-6 months for the next soccer game on immigration reform. Message to legals at least: wake up and look what you have given up for the so called American dream!!!

and i know i know Frank will write the same stuff..but if indeed it works what he says - then congrats to him for his prediction and the folks who will benefit from such deferred executive action. Legals...keep waiting a life time or move on!!

Greg,

Very sad news! The results of the DV lottery have been cancelled. My husband was one of the people who won, but now it seems they took it away.

http://www.dvlottery.state.gov/

This looks like the July 2007 fiasco all over again. Apparently there were thousands of people who checked their results and printed the letter that they won, and some even sent their documents back to KCC. I wonder if there will be lawsuits over this. What do you think?

Georgia Repuks are moving forward with their political show.......

DREAM Act Loses Republican Cosponsor Richard Lugar = Congress won't take action on immigration reform in a foreseeable future.

Suggestion to Greg Siskind:
The organization(s) that represent Immigration Lawyers in the United States should deliver an open letter to President Obama addressing in detail the points you have mentioned in your previous post (regarding Executive powers).

This means the countdown has officially started (pay attention to current events that are beyond the scope of immigration)...

DUE TO NATIONAL SECURITY CONCERNS, THE ONGOING ECONOMIC UPHEAVAL AND CONGRESS' INABILITY TO PASS AN IMMIGRATION REFORM, President Obama will issue pretty soon an Executive Order granting some sort of legal protection to millions of undocumented immigrants living in the United States based on certain prerequisites and requirements: most likely a renewable work permit while mandating these individuals to register in DHS database and the Selective Service System as well.

I know Lugar is getting Tea Bagged but if you can not get a moderate like him...this is truly just for political show!!! Have you noticed that the Repuks have not engaged the President on this issue and have barely commented on the speech.....

He doesn’t agree with everything Obama says or does — Morrison was a Hillary Clinton supporter in the past presidential election — but Morrison believes the president “is sincerely trying to find a solution” to the immigration problem. Morrison also believes, however, the immediate solution must come from the White House, not Congress.

O'Malley signs 'DREAM Act' measure
Immigrant tuition bill becomes law - for now
By PAMELA WOOD, Staff Writer
Published 05/11/11

Gov. Martin O'Malley signed hundreds of bills into law Tuesday, but there's one that some hope will never take effect.

The Maryland "DREAM Act," which grants college tuition breaks to students who are illegal immigrants, is being challenged by lawmakers and activists who want to send the matter to a public vote.

The tuition bill drew most of the attention during the marathon bill-signing session Tuesday. Dozens crammed into the Governor's Reception Room in the State House to witness the signing.

Isn't Schumer the same guy who promised a bill on the floor by labor Day in 09. Its is big joke - all vote bank politics!!!

"Sen. Schumer is back: There's 'a chance' of immigration reform soon"

He is another Democrat who can't keep his work, the other being Obama.

Nothing will pass the republican house....my prediction CIR 2011, RIP or dead on arrival, pick one.

Right you are. Thanks.

I assume you meant to post that a federal judge, and not an immigration judge, has put a hold on the Utah law.
