South African-born Liezel Huber will be representing the US in tennis joining greats Venus and Serena Williams. She's teaming up with Lisa Raymond for doubles and the two are expected to do quite well since they are currently ranked the number one women's doubles players in the world. Liezel came to train in the US 20 years ago and met her husband, tennis pro Tony Huber. She became a citizen in 2007, but was already giving back to her adopted country with the creation of Liezel's Cause which raises money for Hurricane Katrina victims in New Orleans. She also has a ranch in Houston with 11 hard tennis courts which she uses to run programs designed to promote the sport of tennis in her area. At 35, she's one of the most seasoned players competing for gold and her experience in competing in prior Olympics (this will be her third) will no doubt serve her well.
