"Dan-The-Guy, you may be right but will the GOP really risk losing 3 Presidential elections in a row by doing nothing on immigration?"

Its about who speaks the sweetest contest now. You will see lot of good heartily words from both sides but no action. Republicans have realized what worked for Obama in first term was sweet talking with no action. They will follow the same path across the country in key states. That may level the field without antagonizing the base. I really doubt you will see any bickering.

Dan-The-Guy, you may be right but will the GOP really risk losing 3 Presidential elections in a row by doing nothing on immigration? I think legalization for 11 million will be hard lifting no matter what but Dream Act is a lock for Obama's second term. I do not believe Obama for a second that he won't go half-way or piecemeal on immigration. Unlike most liberals, he's a pragmatist and he'll take what he can get in his second term over inaction in order to cement his legacy as one of the greatest modern Presidents.

From a die-hard liberal: Obama's comment about immigration was like putting sprinkles on ice cream to appease a voting bloc. Nothing is going to get done other than bickering between the two parties. His plan to legalize 11 million blokes will not go anywhere and since he is firmly opposed to piece meal reform, nothing will get done. Mark my words. And soon it will be 2014 elections and there will be another executive order passed before that just in time.

Funny how things work in our country:

First year: Bickering between parties due to divided House and Senate.
Second year: Nothing gets done - mid-term elections!
Third year: Bickering between parties post election.
Fourth year: Nothing gets done - primaries and election again!

"We will defend our people and uphold our values through strength of arms and rule of law."

Ugh. This guy should NEVER talk about rule of law the way he frequently ignores all kinds of laws.
