The woman sitting between Michelle Obama and Jill Biden at the State of the Union Address who was called out as a hero for her actions saving babies at a hospital during Hurricane Sandy was Filipino-born nurse Menchu Sanchez.
The Philippines has sent thousands of nurses to the US over the past half century and they have earned their reputation as truly dedicated and highly competent nurses. Menchu Sanchez is a great example of how we've benefited from nursing immigration.

Great job Menchu Sanchez!May be persons who do such noble help should be given 'honorary' US citizenship!Hats off
