Jack, what is so strange about people living temporary in the country before deciding to stay? It's like complaining that your girlfriend wants a proposal after 2 years of dating, and you thought you were just going out and having casual sex.

"Some conservative critics have said that the program is problematic because it isn't actually temporary."

Yeah, kind of like "temporary" guest workers.

How about a path to citizenship for people who have been sitting on a visa for 10 years?
